Honoring a Legacy of Service and Mentorship

The Breeden Family Scholarship Fund was established to honor the extraordinary contributions of Butch Breeden, whose 20 years of leadership and unwavering commitment have been instrumental to First Tee Central Coast’s success. This fund also honors the memory of Josh Breeden, Butch’s nephew and a loyal supporter of our mission, and recognizes Edd Breeden for his years of dedicated service as a trusted advisor and volunteer.

Our Mission

Through this scholarship fund, we support FTCC alumni as they pursue post-high school education and career training—whether at community colleges, universities, trade schools, or certification programs. This program ensures that our young people not only learn life lessons through golf but also have the resources to succeed in their next chapter.

Our First Recipient

In 2025, we proudly awarded our inaugural scholarship of $3,000 to Emma Dodson, an SDSU freshman and FTCC alum who continues to give back by coaching at Blacklake Golf Resort.
