Honors on the First Tee
First Tee Central Coast is excited to announce a new recognition program: Honors on the First Tee. This program is designed to celebrate our high school participants for their dedication to the First Tee program, academic achievement, involvement in their high school community, and commitment to service through volunteerism.
High School First Tee Participants who submit an Honors on the First Tee application and meet the established criteria will, upon review and recommendation, be invited to play a round of golf hosted by our Board Members following the completion of the academic year.
Please note: All First Tee Board Members are SafeSport trained and have completed required background checks.
The goals of the Honors on the First Tee are to:
- Promote and reward strong character and core values alongside academic success
- Recognize a select group of outstanding high school First Tee golfers
- Foster meaningful connections between participants and Board Members
- Create mentorship opportunities through direct engagement and support
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be a high school age First Tee participant
- Must have outstanding personal character, sportsmanship, and leadership qualities and embody our core values and mission
- Must be a current member of FTCC for a minimum of two years
We encourage all eligible high school participants to apply for the 2025-2026 Honors on the First Tee program.
Application Deadline: June 1, 2026
Applicants must upload their most recent high school transcript with their application. Transcripts can be obtained directly from your high school.
All selected Honors on the First Tee recipients will be notified by June 25, 2026. Golf rounds with Board Members will take place between July 1, 2026, and September 1, 2026.
